Cookie Policy
Last updated: 1 May 2026 · Polare Group Sàrl, Geneva, Switzerland
This Cookie Policy explains how Polare Group Sàrl uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on ZRO Labs websites and products. We take a minimal-cookie approach: we use only what is strictly necessary for our services to function, and we ask your consent before setting any non-essential cookie.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the website to remember your preferences, maintain your session, and — in some cases — track your behaviour across sessions or websites. We distinguish between cookies we set ourselves (first-party) and those set by third parties.
2. Cookies We Use
Strictly Necessary Cookies
These are essential for our services to function. They cannot be disabled. No consent is required.
- Session cookie (auth.zrolab.com): maintains your authenticated session across ZRO Labs products. Expires when you close your browser or sign out. First-party, HttpOnly, Secure.
- CSRF token: protects against cross-site request forgery. Session-scoped. First-party.
- Cookie consent preference: remembers whether you have accepted or declined optional cookies. Stored for 12 months.
Analytics Cookies (optional — consent required)
If you consent, we use privacy-preserving analytics to understand how our products are used. All analytics are anonymised and aggregated — no individual is tracked.
- _zro_analytics: anonymised page view counter. No personally identifiable data. First-party. 30-day expiry.
Authentication Provider Cookies (conditional)
If you choose to sign in with Apple or Google, those services may set their own cookies on their domains as part of the authentication flow. These are governed by Apple's and Google's respective privacy and cookie policies.
3. What We Do Not Use
- Advertising or tracking cookies
- Third-party analytics that build individual profiles (e.g. Google Analytics UA/GA4 linked to identities)
- Social media tracking pixels
- Fingerprinting or canvas fingerprinting
- Cross-site behavioural tracking of any kind
4. ZRO Ghost
ZRO Ghost (usezro.app) is a desktop application and does not use cookies, browsers, or any web tracking mechanism of any kind. It operates entirely offline and on-device.
5. Managing Cookies
You can control and delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Disabling strictly necessary cookies may prevent some features from functioning correctly.
Major browsers provide instructions here:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Firefox: Options → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
6. Consent
When you first visit zrolab.com, we display a cookie banner. You may accept all cookies, reject optional cookies, or adjust your preferences. Your choice is stored for 12 months. You may change your preference at any time by clearing your cookies or contacting us.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we add or remove cookies from our services. Material changes will be communicated via a renewed consent prompt.
